Founded in 2019, Affordable Housing Hub is proud to be an independently owned and self-funded publication and has been dedicated to addressing the need for Affordable Housing for millions of Americans. Our Journey began after witnessing the fallout from the Great Recession.  The aftermath of the GFC displaced many Americans, created widespread housing insecurity, and increased income disparity across the nation. Not only was this witnessed on a national level, we also experienced this first-hand as friends and family’s lives were uprooted. More recently, as the Covid-19 pandemic caused unprecedented migration, inflation hit multi-decade highs, and affordable housing hit never before seen levels, our commitment remains steadfast and our work feels more important than ever.

Our Mission

At Affordable Housing Hub, our mission is to source, report, and simplify affordable housing solutions in the U.S. We strive to serve as your most trusted resource, offering insights into open waiting list announcements, changes to HUD policies, report on public and private affordable housing programs, and other critical information that could impact your housing options. Our commitment to integrity means we prioritize the accuracy and reliability of the information we share, ensuring our readers can make informed decisions about their housing options.

Editorial Board

Our editorial board is comprised of individuals with a passion for affordable housing with a background in publishing and copywriting. As a small team, our personal journeys into this field were sparked by witnessing the ever-increasing income disparity that affects our nation and the impact that has on affordable housing. We keep our fingers on the pulse of affordable housing trends, policies, and news to bring you the most relevant and actionable information.

Ensuring Content Accuracy

Trustworthiness is at the core of everything we do. Affordable Housing Hub carefully considers all sources and vets these sources to ensure accuracy. Our information is obtained from government agencies such as HUD, local Housing Authorities, and verified news outlets. We also work directly with various affordable housing program administrators to verify the information we publish. Our goal is to ensure that our content is not just informative, but also accurate and dependable.
