Applicants must be at least 18 years old, one member of the household must be a US citizen or non-citizen with eligible status, and applicants with any drug-related charge in the past five years will be denied.
The waiting list for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program is currently closed. It was last open in October 2025, during which 4,500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.
