FAQ

Do some applicants get priority?
Yes. Applications for the following categories of individuals will be accelerated:
1. Households that have an income at or below 50% of the area median.
2. Households that have one or more members who have been unemployed for 90 days or longer.

What documents can I submit to prove my household’s income?
A 2020 1040 tax return is the preferred document to prove income. If you don’t have a 1040 form, you can use your W-2. You will need one for each household member over the age of 18.

You should also provide wage statements, check stubs, bank statements showing regular income, or letters from employers for each household member over the age of 18.

If you don’t have verifiable income because of the pandemic (place of employment out of business or closed), you may submit a written statement to that effect as part of your application.

Is there still money available?
The State of Utah has received millions of dollars in additional funds to assist renters adversely affected by the COVID pandemic. You are encouraged to apply today.
