Housing Authority of Spartanburg

The waiting list for Prince Hall, Camp Croft Courts, and Archibald Rutledge is closed. Some past openings for Prince Hall required a referral from the SC Department of Mental Health. Families with children, elderly applicants, and disabled individuals may receive priority placement.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) waitlist is currently closed and not accepting applications. Applications will only be accepted when the waitlist is open. Spartanburg Housing places advertisements in the local newspaper and provides flyers to local agencies to notify the public of the waitlist opening. When the list is open, applicants may submit an application for placement on a waiting list. Once a name is reached, Spartanburg Housing will contact the applicant by mail and/or email. Waitlist status will not be provided by phone, nor will requests to update information be taken by phone. Spartanburg Housing will make two attempts to contact the applicant; failure to respond will result in removal from the list, requiring reapplication. Applicants must establish an online applicant account to submit an application. Applicants with multiple accounts and applications with false information will be rejected. Requests to make adjustments due to input errors will not be processed.
