Los Angeles County Opens Site-Based Public Housing Waiting Lists for Senior and Family Housing
/The Los Angeles County Development Authority opened its Public Housing Waiting List on April 15, 2024 and is keeping the list open until April 30, 2024. Priorities have been set for Seniors and Families but others we welcome to apply.
Who is Eligible?
The SBWLs are specifically designed for seniors and families meeting certain income and household criteria set by the LACDA. These lists enable applicants to register for housing units located in developments designated either for older adults or for broader family housing.
What are Site-Based Waiting Lists?
Site-Based Waiting Lists (SBWLs) are used by housing authorities to manage applications for specific housing projects or developments. Unlike general waiting lists that pool applicants for any property, SBWLs allow applicants to choose specific properties where they wish to live, making the waiting lists more targeted and relevant to individual needs and preferences. Site based waiting lists are typically referred to as Public Housing or Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists.
