The Housing Authority will announce the opening of the HCV Wait List in The Californian and Monterey Herald newspapers. A previous waitlist opening was July 1, 2024 - July 12, 2024. Once the wait list application process closes, HACM will run a lottery to place the first 5,000 applicants on the wait list. Eligibility will be determined based upon HUD Income Limits (75% of families selected from the wait list must be at 50% of Area Median Income for the family size) at the time of selection from the waiting list. HACM also determines program eligibility based upon criminal background checks, and previous program compliance.
